MOTHERHOOD: Hydrangea

Most kids play BUG! and yell out "Punch Buggy Blue" when they see a old Bug Convertible. Well Mom and I played that too but we also had our strange version. Simply put: "Hydrangea!" Why you ask? Not really sure but when Mom would drive me to school in Kindergarten when we lived in Savannah, Georgia we would look for the flower along the way. And yes, we STILL play it to this day. Then she and my step-dad bought a house in Newport, RI and guess what was growing in the garden. Well, you guessed that right; a Hydrangea. I took this photo of it this summer.
