RECIPE: How To Boil an Egg

You just boil it right? Well not exactly.

Make sure they look pretty inside too with no green and the shells slip off easily. Eggs that are 7-10 days old peel easily because their PH is different from new eggs. Heat causes the egg to turn green and rubbery.

-- Prick the large end of the egg so it does not crack.

-- Put eggs in a heavy saucepan and cover with water by 1 inch.

-- Bring the water to a boil; remove from heat; cover and let stand for 15 minutes.

-- Remove from the saucepan and place in ice water for 4 minutes.

-- Keep refrigerated.
